Craniosacral Therapy for Headaches & Migraines in Asheville
A migraine is a common neurological condition that causes a wide range of symptoms including a throbbing, pulsing headache on one side of your head. Migraines tend to get worse with physical activity, lights, sounds or smells. It may last at least four hours or even days. About 12% of Americans have this genetic disorder. Research shows that it’s the sixth most disabling disease in the world.
Other symptoms of migraine headaches may include nausea and vomiting, stomach upset, loss of appetite, feeling tired, tender scalp, fever, dizziness or blurred vision.
When it comes to headaches, there are many different types. Identifying the location and nature of the pain can help determine the cause (dehydration, hormones, allergic reaction, food sensitivities, etc). Some of the common types of headaches include tension headaches, sinus headaches, and cluster headaches.
At Balanced Manual Therapy, our treatments are geared towards conditions like headaches, migraines, vertigo, and other nervous system related imbalances.
