Holistic Therapy for Chronic Fatigue
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) is a complicated disorder that causes extreme fatigue that can last for at least six months.
The cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is unknown, although there are many theories. Experts believe it might be triggered by a combination of factors. Symptoms can vary and fluctuate on a daily basis. In addition to fatigue, symptoms may include problems with memory, dizziness that worsens with moving from lying down or sitting, muscle or joint pain, unrefreshing sleep, headaches, sore throats, tender lymph nodes, and a sensitivity to light, smells, food and medicines.
Due to the nature of this condition, Balanced Manual Therapy limits its treatment to 40 minutes maximum in order to prevent the body from feeling more taxed post treatment. Our Chronic Fatigue Treatment is specifically geared towards clients dealing with any of the symptoms listed above. It includes a combination of techniques including lymphatic drainage, visceral manipulation (working with the membranes and ligaments of the viscera), and brain balance therapy, to reduce stress and tension in the body.
